A Crack in Time joins the ranks of games like MW2, ODST, and Uncharted 2 as one of the best games this year. You read that right. A Ratchet game is one of the best games of the year. Why? Because nothing is wrong with the game. There is not a con in the whole game. Start to finish, there will not be a moment where you are bored or annoyed. First, the visuals are amazing. Ratchet is detailed, not only in cinematics, but looks amazing in gameplay. Now the gameplay itself can be split up into two sections; Ratchet or Clank. Ratchet works as usual with amazing new weapons (Sonic Erupter, Plasma Striker), great returning ones (Negotiator) and the new line of Constructo weapons, which are fully customizable with mods scattered across the universe. The only bad thing about Ratchet is that there aren't any upgrades for weapons, which in a way will help new gamers who aren't used to the system. Clank gameplay is really good, and the time puzzles are some of the best game puzzles I have ever seen. The only bad thing is that there only about 15 time puzzles, with 3 extra ones as challenges if you go back after you beat the game. The story is well told, and takes a really great twist at the end, something that really helped the final boss fight tremendously. Even after you finish the game, there are a ton of extra things to collect, like gold bolts and constructo mods, and also challenge mode is a blast. I highly recommend this game, and it has been one of my favorites of this year. It continues the strong ratchet and clank games, and if this is the last Ratchet (hopefully not), then it ties up the series with a really nice bow. Insomniac really outdid themselves with this game. Old and new comers alike should get this, and you will be very very happy with it.

This game is addictive. Its one of those games that once you turn it on, you do not want to turn it off for nothing, not work, not plans you may have had, not even family. Totally kidding, everyone knows family is more important than a video game. ;). Anyways, from the large arsenal of weapons, to the engaging story, split between ratchet and clank this game keeps you hooked. I could not find any problems with this game. The camera kinda acts funny at times, but nothing to worry about really. The graphics are crisp and clean, and if you didn't know better you think you were directing a movie almost. I definattly rate this game a 5/5. Its worth the 65$ price tag and you should positively get it today!! Right now, like..right now, go get it before you finish reading this sentance. God damn you, i knew you wouldn't go get it before reading this..

With each new title Insomniac finds a way to one-up themselves they have truly learned how to master episodic gaming. With each new Chapter per say having its own little story while still contributing to the Whole Bigger story it makes the games needed like a good book and at the end of it you just cant wait for the next one to come out =)
